Has anyone actually used one of the metal pressure plates sold at Andec in Germany?
They are designed to be inserted in a Kodak cart just underneath the film port.
They are supposed to reduce the jitter in the image, but some people have said they can jam the cart.

I think this question will remain one of the great mysteries of Super-8. If you can afford the investment, give it a shot. If that investment is precious money to you, perhaps spend it on something that you know is a sure thing.
Beware the United States Dollar is only worth 60% of the Euro Dollar, so if the plate is listed at 100 dollars Euro, you will actually pay 140 dollars for it! This exchange rate was as of Nov 9th, 2007

I have used one from ANDEC for close to one year now, and must say that it makes a big difference.
The only thing that is quite a hassle is changing the plate from one cartridge to another.
Sometimes this is not so easy and can take up to a minute or longer.
What really impressed me most is that the focus has improved a lot.
The price is very high i agree but then if you take the cost of film and the agrevation of jitter and having to maybe re-shoot it is definately worth the money.
